- <p> SENTENCED. Barend Strydom, 23, a member of the
- white-supremacist Afrikaner Resistance Movement who killed six
- blacks and an Indian in Pretoria last November; to death by
- hanging; in Pretoria. At his trial, Strydom, who said he
- practiced for the slaughter by shooting two black women,
- explained, "I do not think blacks are human beings." Also
- sentenced last week: 13 black men and one black woman convicted
- of murder for their roles in beating a black policeman to death
- and setting fire to his body in Upington, Orange Free State, in
- November 1985; to death by hanging.
