  14. <p>    SENTENCED. Barend Strydom, 23, a member of the
  15. white-supremacist Afrikaner Resistance Movement who killed six
  16. blacks and an Indian in Pretoria last November; to death by
  17. hanging; in Pretoria. At his trial, Strydom, who said he
  18. practiced for the slaughter by shooting two black women,
  19. explained, "I do not think blacks are human beings." Also
  20. sentenced last week: 13 black men and one black woman convicted
  21. of murder for their roles in beating a black policeman to death
  22. and setting fire to his body in Upington, Orange Free State, in
  23. November 1985; to death by hanging.
